Requirements The OIS BU is looking for Interns for our Alexandria location.
The candidate for this position will be assigned projects by a senior developer that are technically challenging and properly scoped to ensure the candidate is able to see them to completion. Invaluable experience will be gained by working on an Agile and highly technical team.
The candidate for this position will provide functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems to SAIC’s Intelligence Operations and Technology Division.
Responsibilities include:
Analysis, design, programming, and modification of computer programs for software applications.
Design and development of software from document requirements
Integration testing to support system acceptance.
Determining procedures and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of software applications.
Education Requirements:
Working towards a degree from an accredited college/university in computer science, or related technical field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Required Skills:
Above average knowledge of object-oriented programming, including proven success with Java or C/C++ development in UNIX/Linux and Windows systems
Ability to create documentation and interpret requirements specifications.
Troubleshooting/bug fixing skills.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Web Application Development
Knowledge in Oracle database administration
Knowledge in shell scripting
Position is hourly Part-time
