Semester Web Intern

Washington Post Express Semester Web Internship (unpaid)
Hours per week:  About 15 - 20, Monday through Friday. Schedule is negotiable.

The intern must be a current student enrolled in a degree program AND, if selected, must submit one of the following on or before the first day of work: 1) documentation showing that academic credit is being received (i.e. a copy of the course registration) OR 2) a letter from a professor, department head, sponsor or academic advisor stating that the internship significantly contributes to the student's current degree program OR 3) a letter from the school stating that the internship is part of a work-study or independent study program.

Responsibilities:
 Assist editors with editorial and production tasks for ExpressNightOut.com.
 Produce print edition content for use on the Web.
 Process photos for Web use.
 Writing is possible and encouraged.


Requirements & Qualifications:
-- Traditional journalism and/or new media experience.
-- While HTML experience isn't required, it is a big plus.
-- An eye for detail.
-- Curiosity about new ways to deliver entertainment news and information.
